James Mather

James was born in March 1843 in Edgworth.¹

James' father was Joseph Mather and his mother was Betty (Elizabeth) Cooper. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Charles, Andrew, John, Joseph, Elizabeth, Sophia, Frances, Alice, Jane and Sarah. He was the tenth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 48 on November 23rd, 1891 in West Derby.²
