Ledgarde was born about 0941 in Flandres. Ledgarde's father was Count Arnolph ("the Great") I of Flanders and her mother was Alix de Vermandois. Her paternal grandparents were Count Baldwin ("the Bald") II of Flanders and Princess Ethelswida of England; her maternal grandparents were Count Herbert II of Vermandois and Princess Adela of France. She had a brother and two sisters, named Baldwin, Elstrude and Hildegarde. She was the youngest of the four children. She died on September 29th, 0964.General Notes
