Richard De Cornwall was born in Winchester Castle, Hampshire, England.1   Richard De Cornwall's father was John Lackland I Plantagenet and his mother was Isabella De Taillefer.  His paternal grandparents were King of England Henry and Eleanor Of Aquitaine; his maternal grandparents were Aymer De Taillefer and Alice De Courtenay. He had two brothers named Henry III King Of and Raymond IV Count Of Provence. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Richard, Hugh XI, Guillaume De Lusignan, Matilda, Joan Princess Of and Alice De Lusignan.  He died on April 2nd, 1272 in Newark Castle, Nottinghamshire.  He was buried in Worcester Cathedral.1 1
