Matilda of was born in 1035 in Flanders, France and her baptism took place in France - dtr of Baldwin of Flanders.1   Matilda of's father was Baldwin V of Flanders and her mother was Adele De France.  Her paternal grandparents were Baldwin IV Of Flanders and Ogiva of Luxembourg; her maternal grandparents were II Robert and Constance De Taillefer. She had two brothers and a sister, named Baldwin VI the Peaceable of, Robert I of and Judith Fausta' Of.  She was the second youngest of the four children. She had two half-sisters named Helena le and Alix.  She died at the age of 48 on November 3rd, 1083 in Caen, Calvados, Normandie, France.  She was buried on November 2nd, 1083 in Sacre-Trinite, Caen, Normandie.1 1
