Baldwin VI the Peaceable of was born in 1030 in Flanders, France.1 Baldwin VI the Peaceable of's father was Baldwin V of Flanders and his mother was Adele De France. His paternal grandparents were Baldwin IV Of Flanders and Ogiva of Luxembourg; his maternal grandparents were II Robert and Constance De Taillefer. He had a brother and two sisters, named Robert I of, Matilda of and Judith Fausta' Of. He was the oldest of the four children. He had two half-sisters named Helena le and Alix.
