Adelaide was born about 0942 in Anjou, France.1   Adelaide's father was Fulco II Count Of Anjou and her mother was Gerberga of Maine Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were Foulques I "le Roux" "The Red" Count of Anjou and Bertha The Dane or Roscille of Loches; her maternal grandparents were I Ratburns and Gerberga. She had two brothers named Bouchard II and Geoffrey I Grisgonelle Comté. She had a half-sister named Adela.  She died about 1026.1

‌Adelaide and William were married in a religious ceremony about 0969 in France.1   They had a son and three daughters, named William III Count Of Arles &, Ermengarde of, Toda of and Constance.
