John Mather

John was born in 1814 in Heath Charnock and his baptism took place on March 20th, 1814 at St. Laurence (Chorley).¹

John's father was Nathan Mather and his mother was Catherine Bibby. His paternal grandparents were Edward (Nedde) Mather and Mary Hough. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Edward, Nathan, Nathan, Edward, Thomas, Richard, Mary, Mary, Elizabeth, Ann and Margaret. He had an adopted brother named Edward.

  In 1858, John Mather, quarryman, son of Nathaniel Mather, Plasterer married Clementing Stokes at St. Peter's, Liverpool.
