William Thomas Lea

William was born in March 1877 in Harthill.¹

William's father was Thomas Lea and his mother was Elizabeth Brereton. His paternal grandparents were William Lea and Jane Stubbs; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Brereton and Martha Hughes. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William, Charles, John, Thomas, Arthur, Jane, Sarah and Emily. He was the eighth oldest of the nine children. He died in an accident or as a result of an injury, Drowned, at the age of 46 on October 3rd, 1923 in Chester.²
