Adelicia, known as "The Fair Maid of Brabant", was born about 1100.  "The Fair Maid of Brabant"'s father was Duke Godfrey Barbutus ("the Bearded") de Lorraine I of Brabant and her mother was Clemence de Lombardy of Burgundy.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke Henry de Brabant II of Lower Lorraine and Adela von der Betuwe; her maternal grandparents were Count William ("le Grand") I of Burgundy and Etienette de Longwy. She had a brother named Joscelain.  She was the older of the two children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Godfrey, Adeliza of Louvain and Ida.  She died on April 23rd, 1151 in Afflighem, Hekelgem, Brabant, Belgium, Netherlands.  She was buried on April 23rd, 1151 in Abbey, Reading, Berkshire, England.
