Corrie Ada was born on June 19th, 1869 in Near Little Mountain, Newberry County, South Carolina.1 Corrie Ada's father was Middleton Boland and her mother was Anna Barbara Frick. Her paternal grandparents were Abram Boland and Eva Christina Sease. She had six brothers and six sisters, named David, Abraham Noah, Levi Calhoun, Edward Jonah, Lawson Pettus, Ira Coens, Rachel Happy, Louise Alice, Ellen M., Frances Victoria, Emma and Mary Catherine. She was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children. She had a half-sister named Lula Beatress. She died at the age of 88 on August 23rd, 1957. She was buried in Holy Trinity Church Cemetery, Little Mountain, SC.1 1 -
