WILLIAM DONALD FOSTER, Sr., age 90, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Houston. Don was born March 28, 1918, in Eastland, TX, the son of Robert Lester Foster and Vivian Estelle Rutherford Foster. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as Technical Sergeant, 49th Supply Squadron, 49th Air Depot Group of the US Army. Following his discharge in 1945, he enjoyed a career in the jewelry design business in both Dallas and Houston for many years. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Ruth Chunn Marsh Foster, by his sister, Ida Lee Foster Graham, and by his step-grandson Gray Alton Marsh. He is survived by a son, William Donald Foster, Jr. and wife Sandy Luten Foster of Sunrise Beach, MO, a daughter, Donna Marie Foster Wilkerson, and husband Joseph William Wilkerson, grandchildren Kimberly Wilkerson Rittenhouse, Lawrence Douglas Wilkerson and Krystal Marie Wilkerson, and four great grandchildren, all of North Harris County; and a nephew Joseph Graham of Dallas. Don is also survived by a stepson, Gerald Marsh and wife, Myra Moore Marsh, their daughter, Paige Marsh Erwin, and her husband R. Harding Erwin, Jr. and their daughters, Savannah Ruth Erwin and Emma Margaret Erwin, all of Houston. Family members would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Sheryl Webster, RN and her excellent staff of care-givers at St. Dominic Village who took special care of Don during the final years of his life.
