Clem was born on December 31st, 1880 in Kentucky. Clem's father was James Andrew Foster and his mother was Ruth Elizabeth Lowe. His paternal grandparents were Joseph H Foster and Celine Wilson. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Joseph H., William Thomas, Jasper E., Clarence Grimstead, Ida F. and Fannie. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 42 on October 29th, 1923 in Barren, Kentucky, United States.-
