Philippa was born on November 21st, 1375 in Ludlow Castle, Shropshire, England.  Philippa's father was Edmund de Mortimer and her mother was Philippa Plantagenet of Ulster.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger de Mortimer and Philippa de Montague; her maternal grandparents were Lionel Plantagenet of Antwerp and Elizabeth (Isabella) de Burgh. She had three brothers and a sister, named Roger, Edmund, John and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 25 on September 24th, 1401 in Halmaker, Sussex, england.  She was buried in Boxgrove Priory, Sussex, England.
