Blanche Capet was born about 1247 in Arras, France.  Blanche Capet's father was Robert Capet I de Artois and her mother was Matilde (Maud) de Brabant.  Her paternal grandparents were Louis VIII Capet the Lion of France and Blanca of Castile; her maternal grandparents were Henry II the Courageous of Brabant and Maria Hohenstaufens of Germany. She had a brother named Robert Capet II.  She was the older of the two children.  She died on May 2nd, 1302 in Paris, France.
