Henry Plantagenet of was born in 1281 in Grismond Castle, Monmouthshire, England.  Henry Plantagenet of's father was Edmund Crouchback Plantagenet and his mother was Blanche Capet de Artois.  His paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantagenet of England and Eleanor Berenger of Provence; his maternal grandparents were Robert Capet I de Artois and Matilde (Maud) de Brabant. He had two brothers and a sister, named Thomas Plantagenet of, John Plantagenet of and Mary. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Thibault of and Joan (Jeanne) of.  He died at the age of 64 on September 22nd, 1345 in Monastry of Cannons, Leicester, England.  He was buried in Neward Abbey, Leicester.
