Walter was born in June 1899 in Wallasey.¹

Birth Notes

Walter's father was Arthur Edward Scoffield and his mother was Mary Brockbank. His maternal grandparents were John Brockbank and Mary Ann Mather. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Arthur, Joseph, Harold, George, Mary, Elizabeth, Hilda, Lilian and Mercy. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. He died at 6 months old in December 1899 in Wallasey.¹
