George was born on October 18th, 1904 in Wallasey.¹

Birth Notes

George's father was Arthur Edward Scoffield and his mother was Mary Brockbank. His maternal grandparents were John Brockbank and Mary Ann Mather. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Arthur, Joseph, Walter, Harold, Mary, Elizabeth, Hilda, Lilian and Mercy. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 81 in September 1986 in Birkenhead.²
