John was born in June 1894 in Wallasey.¹

Birth Notes

John's father was Arthur Edward Scoffield and his mother was Mary Brockbank. His maternal grandparents were John Brockbank and Mary Ann Mather. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Arthur, Joseph, Walter, Harold, George, Mary, Elizabeth, Hilda, Lilian and Mercy. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 81 on August 20th, 1975 in Wallasey.²
