Joseph was born in March 1897 in Wallasey.¹

Birth Notes

Joseph's father was Arthur Edward Scoffield and his mother was Mary Brockbank. His maternal grandparents were John Brockbank and Mary Ann Mather. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Arthur, Walter, Harold, George, Mary, Elizabeth, Hilda, Lilian and Mercy. He was the fourth oldest of the eleven children. He died at 6 months old in September 1897 in Wallasey.¹
