This is probably an error, and should read Caroline. No other records can be found for a Carolina.
1861 census records place of birth as Morley (should be Marley), Bingley Parish, Yorkshire, England. The family later lived across the river at Crossflats.
General Notes
Name spelled Carolina on familysearch.org and Carroline on 1841 census, when living with parents. Probably, correct name is Caroline.
Living with brother Robert Pickles and family in 1851, because her Mother Mary had died, and father Thomas had moved to Bradford.
Married William Medley, 15/1/1859 (but age 30 on marriage certificate, when should have been 36 and only 32 on 1861 census). It appears that this young lady lied about her age to make herself 6y older, as she had an older husband. By 1881, her true age had returned to the census records.
Her daughter Zilpha lived with, and cared for her mother at Crossflats untill Caroline died in 1904.
