Walter Mather

Walter was born in January 1862 in Bolton and his baptism took place on February 23rd, 1862 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

Walter's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Ellen Warburton. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Ellen Rigby. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named James, Thomas, William, (John), George, Ellen, Mary, Alice, Jane, Sarah, Mary and Agnes. He was the youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 22 in January 1884 in Bolton.³
