Hannah Mather died 12th Match 1848 at 20 Charles Street, Little Bolton.
The house is no longer there (dont confuse with another Charles St at Farnworth). in 1851 the house was occupied by Ann Hopkinson (Head, Widow, 40) with her 4 young daughters and 2 old female lodgers, so perhaps Hannah was a lodger here before she died.
Q1/1848 Hannah Mather, Aged 68, Little Bolton. The death certificate shows "Hannah was the widow of Thomas Mather, Iron Moulder". Mary Davies present at the death, 7 Waggon Road, Little Bolton.
This Hannah Mather, was probably the mother of Samuel was alive in 1841.
There is also a death of Hannah Mather in 1844, Turton.

This Hannah Mather was the widow of Thomas Mather, an Iron Moulder (see death cert).
It appears Hannah was head of household in 1841, living at Dawes Street (near Great Moor St), Bolton, a dress maker, and had son Samuel (45, b,~1795) with her. There was also Ralph (15) and George (12), all Iron Moulders. Hannah and Samuel were NOT from Lancashire. Hannah also had a daughter Selina who was living at Dawes Street in 1840 at the time of her marriage.
Therefore this cant be the Hannah Knowles who married Richard Mather.
