George Mather

George was born in June 1829 in Bolton and his christening took place on June 7th, 1829 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

George's father was Samuel Mather and his mother was Ellen Rigby. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Hannah Mather. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, William, Samuel, Ralph, James, Marianne and Alice. He was the seventh oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 62 in June 1891 in Bolton.³
