Thomas was of full age and a Manufacturer when he maried Mary Ann Sansom, who must have been a minor as she required her father's permission to marry.
General Notes
Thomas Mather is not from Lancashire. Because he is from Yorkshire, lived in Bolton where wife Martha was from, and had a son Matthias, and born where there is a gap in the births, I suspect Thomas is a son of Matthias Mather of Bradford, but UNCONFIRMED.
In 1823, a Manufacturer when he married Mary Ann Sansom, and had their children baptised (all at Chorley).
In 1841, living at Victoria Place, aged 35, Bookkeeper
In 1851 Thomas (48) was a Clerk at Iron foundry (Headingley), born: Low Moor, Yorkshire, with wife Martha (38) from Bolton.
