George Mather

George was born in 1804 in Bolton and his christening took place on February 19th, 1804 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

George's father was Matthias Mather and his mother was Mary Priestley. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Samuel, Thomas, Mathew, Joseph, Edwin, Mary, Ellen, Rachel, Sophia, Rachel, Caroline and Eliza. He was the third oldest of the thirteen children. He had a half-sister named Ann. He died at the age of 60 in 1864 in Bolton.²
