Solomon Mather

Solomon was born in 1833 in Sharples and his baptism took place on April 7th, 1833 at St. Peter's (Bolton) conducted by Vicar J Slade.¹²

Birth Notes

Solomon's father was Joseph Mather and his mother was Sarah Rostron. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Martha (Matty) Ramsden. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Joseph, Richard, William, Ellen and Martha. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had three half-sisters named Ellen, Ann and Jane. He died at the age of 2 in 1835 in Sharples.³
