Richard Mather

Richard was born in March 1837 in Turton and his baptism took place on June 28th, 1837 at St. Peter's (Bolton) conducted by Vicar J Slade.¹

Birth Notes

Richard's father was Joseph Mather and his mother was Sarah Rostron. His paternal grandparents were Solomon Mather and Martha (Matty) Ramsden. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James, Solomon, Joseph, William, Ellen and Martha. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had three half-sisters named Ellen, Ann and Jane. He died at 4 months old in July 1837 in Turton. He was buried on July 1st, 1837 at the Heaton Cemetery.²
