Sarah Ellen Mather

Sarah was born in 1866 in Little Bolton and her baptism took place on February 25th, 1866 in Bolton.¹

Sarah's father was Ralph Mather and her mother was Sarah Makin. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Ellen Rigby. She had a brother and five sisters, named Samuel, Ellen, Hannah, Alice, Hannah and Clara. She was the sixth oldest of the seven children. She had three half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Thomas, William, Elizabeth, Alice, Christianna, Ellen and John. She died at the age of 6 on February 3rd, 1872 in Bolton. Her burial was in February 1872 at Tonge-with-Haulgh Cemetery.²³
