Ellen Mather

Ellen was born in June 1850 in Bolton and her baptism took place on August 11th, 1850 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

Ellen's father was Ralph Mather and her mother was Rosannah Peak.  Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Ellen Rigby. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, William, Alice and Christiana.  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had a half-brother and six half-sisters, named Samuel, Ellen, Hannah, Alice, Hannah, Sarah and Clara.  She died at 9 months old in March 1851 in Bolton.  She was buried on March 18th, 1851.^2 3
