Sarah Mather

Sarah was born in December 1868 in Darwen.¹

Sarah's father was Charles Mather and her mother was Betty Crook. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Mather and Betty (Elizabeth) Cooper; her maternal grandparents were Daniel (Dan) Crook and Mary Walsh. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Daniel, Charles, Maria, Alice, Ann, Jane and Betsy. She was the seventh oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 20 on October 27th, 1889 at Egerton.²
