Samuel Mather

Samuel was born on July 2nd, 1835 in Breightmet and his baptism took place on August 30th, 1835 at St. Thomas (Radcliffe).¹²

Samuel's father was Jeremiah (Jeremy) Mather and his mother was Alice Lord. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Betty Lord. He had six brothers and two sisters, named James, Jeremiah, John, Robert, Peter, James, Betty and Mary. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 69 on March 24th, 1905 in Bolton. His burial was on March 24th, 1905.³⁴
