In 1833 Mary Lord Holt was born at Heapey.
1834, Jeremiah was living at Brown Street, Little Bolton. A Shopkeeper and Dealer in Groceries.
1836, Jeremiah is living at Breightmet Hill. Occupier of house and 13 acres of land, and neighbour of John Seddon (probable uncle or cousin). John Lomax was at the Ashes which later was occupied by Jeremiah, which is where in died in 1883.
In 1841, Jeremiah and Alice (both 25) were farmers at East Breightmet Hills. Thay already had four children: Mary and Samuel (both 5), James (3) and Jeremiah (1)
In 1851, Jeremiah and Alice (38 & 39) were farming 23 acres at Willows, Breightmet. All the family were born at Radcliffe. Today, "The Willows, Radcliffe" is between Radcliff and Breightmet, close to Bradley Fold. There was Mary (17), Samuel (13), John (8), Robert (6) and Peter (4) but James (b.1837) had presumabley died.
In 1861, Jeremy and Alice (both 49) were at the Ashes Farm (also 23 acres), Breightmet. Mary had married and left home, Samuel (25) was there, Jeremiah died died in 1856 and the 4 youngest sons were there.
In 1871, Jeremy and Alice (58 & 59) were still at Ashes and farming 22 acres. Sons John (28), Robert (26), and James Lord Mather (22) were labourers. Betty Lomax (nee Mather) was a neighbour.
By 1881, Jeremy was 62 and a Widower. He had his son John & wife Alice (38 & 36) and their family with him.
