James Lord Mather

James was born on June 6th, 1852 in Radcliffe.¹

James' father was Jeremiah (Jeremy) Mather and his mother was Alice Lord. His paternal grandparents were Samuel Mather and Betty Lord. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, James, Jeremiah, John, Robert, Peter, Betty and Mary. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 57 in June 1909 in Turton. His burial was in June 1901 at Christ Church, Walmsley.²³
