Nancy Mather

Nancy was born on April 19th, 1818 in Turton and her baptism took place on June 3rd, 1818 at Walmsley Presbyterian.¹

Nancy's father was James Mather and her mother was Rachel Hamer. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding; her maternal grandparents were John Hamer and Mary (Mally) Bury. She had six brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Charles, Isaac, Andrew, Andrew, Ann, Jane, Sarah and Maria. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
