Ann Mather

Ann was born on March 27th, 1816 in Turton and her baptism took place on August 5th, 1816 at Walmsley Presbyterian.¹

Ann's father was James Mather and her mother was Rachel Hamer. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding; her maternal grandparents were John Hamer and Mary (Mally) Bury. She had six brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Charles, Isaac, Andrew, Andrew, Nancy, Jane, Sarah and Maria. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 77 in June 1893 in Edgworth. Her burial was on June 16th, 1893 at St. Anne (Turton).²
