Rachel lived at Tarkingtons, and John HAMER was residing at Tarkingtons (Poor Rate Assessment Records) a farmer with property and land. Many of John HAMER's children are also born at Tarkingtons, and Rachel's Baptism confirms this.
Tarkington's, is a farm on the South side of Entwistle Reservoir and in 1802 a regular fortnightly meeting was being held there on Sunday afternoons. In 1805 it became a Methodist Sunday School.
