Rachel lived at Tarkingtons, and John HAMER was residing at Tarkingtons (Poor Rate Assessment Records) a farmer with property and land. Many of John HAMER's children are also born at Tarkingtons, and Rachel's Baptism confirms this.
Tarkington's, is a farm on the South side of Entwistle Reservoir and in 1802 a regular fortnightly meeting was being held there on Sunday afternoons. In 1805 it became a Methodist Sunday School.

There are two death records, but neither matches age:

MATHER Rachel 70 Farnworth, Bolton FTH/24/67
It was possible that an old and widowed Rachel Mather married Howarth Watson (1809-1866) from Over Darwen at Blackburn RO in 1863. A Rachel Watson died at Little Bolton in 1866 aged 81. However, this marriage appears to be a younger couple, and the old Rachel Watson was another, alive in 1861 aged 76, born Darwen.
Another Rachel Mather, a cotton and woollen dyer from Mather Court, Farnworth died 2 Sep 1871, aged 70, after an inquest. The informant was the Lancashire cornier. This is another (spinster) who had a brother Thomas who also died at Mather Court, Farnworth.

21 Oct 1865, although 11y out, this is her! Rachel Mather, widow of James Mather, a farmer. She died at High Street, Over Darwen, aged 89 or old age. Edmund Holden (her son-in-law) was in attendance. She was 77 (although recorded as 89).
General Notes
Rachel Hamer (b. 1786) is most likely the non-conformist Turton baptised daughter of John and Mally of Tarkington's (farm), Turton.
12 Oct 1807, Rachel Hamer married James Mather at St Peter's Bolton. They lived as farmers at Sunnyside, Entwistle and had about 11 children.
In Jun 1841, James and Rachel (both 54) are farmers at Sunnyside, Entwistle (and also shown as farmer from Entwistle on son Isaac's marriage in 1839). With them were their younger children Nancy, Jane, Sarah, Andrew and Maria (24, 22, 18, 17, & 11), and also two illegitimate grandchildren Abel and John (5mo & 1mo). James died 3rd September (after the census) at Entwistle with their daughter Jenny in attendance.
In 1851, Rachel was a lodging house keeper, born Turton, aged 63. She has a lodger, John Baker (33, Wid) from Liverpool.
In 1861, Rachel was a washerwoman living with (her sister-in-law) Alice Settle, aged 73. Alice died in 1863, and soon after, Rachel moved to Over Darwen to live close to her daughter Sarah Holden.
21 Oct 1865, Rachel died at High Street, Over Darwen, with her son-in-law Edmund Holden of Higher Church Street in attendance. She was 77 (although recorded as 89).
