Betty Hamer

Betty was born on February 1st, 1790 in Turton and her baptism took place on February 1st, 1790 at Walmsley Presbyterian conducted by Thomas Davies.¹

Betty's father was John Hamer and her mother was Mary (Mally) Bury. She had two brothers and six sisters, named John, Benjamin, Ann, Alice, Sally, Rachel, Nancy and Jenny. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
