Sally Hamer

Sally was born in January 1787 in Turton and her baptism took place on January 21st, 1787 at Walmsley Presbyterian conducted by John Taylor.¹

Sally's father was John Hamer and her mother was Mary (Mally) Bury. She had two brothers and six sisters, named John, Benjamin, Ann, Alice, Rachel, Betty, Nancy and Jenny. She was the third oldest of the nine children.
