Hannah Mather

Hannah was born in October 1843 in Halliwell and her baptism took place on February 25th, 1844 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹²

Hannah's father was James Mather and her mother was Susanna (Susan) Whalley. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Hannah Knowles. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named William, James, Giles, Richard, Nathaniel, Fred, Lewis, Ellen, Alice and Rachel. She was the oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 52 in June 1896 in Little Bolton.¹
