George Alfred Mather

George was born on June 4th, 1895 in Astley Bridge.¹

George's father was George Alfred Mather and his mother was Ellen Guest. His paternal grandparents were George Mather and Mary Marsh; his maternal grandparents were Guest Guest and Martha Ann Eckersley. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Harry, Fred, Eleanor, Emily, Martha, Lilly, May and Ethel. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 72 in April 1968 in Fylde. His cremation was on April 20th, 1968 in Lancashire.²³
