  Mary was 15 in 1841 and living at Hope, Derbyshire with John and Hannah Wilson and family.
  
  Was 39 when she died, so born about 1826/7

She died at the age of 39 on September 29th, 1865 in Little Bolton.  She was buried on October 3rd, 1865 at Tonge-with-Haulgh Cemetery.^2 3

• General Notes

  Name based on only marriage by Mary to George Mather in Bolton area between 1851 and 1861.  Mary married George at the grand old age of 30.  Mary's father was William  Marsh, a (Stone) Mason.
  
  It appears that Mary lost her parents early.  She was living with John and Hannah Wilson and family in 1841 at Hope, working as the farmers servant.  She was in Nottinghamshire in 1851 working as a dairy maid.
  
  According to the 1861 census, Mary was born in Hope, Derbyshire.  There is a Mary Marsh working as a servant at Winkbourn in 1851.  She recorded her place of birth as Borough, which is almost the same place.  Perhaps George was on holiday there, as this is a popular holiday resort, near to the railway (although Mary was working in Nottinghamshire in 1851).
