Ann was born in February 1842 in Ilkley and her baptism took place there on February 20th, 1841.1  Ann's father was David Lister and her mother was Ann Elizabeth Smith.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Lister and Hannah Robinson; her maternal grandparents were William Smith and Jenny (Jane) Hudson. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Henry, Richard, Thomas, Richard, William, Joseph, George, Harriet, Annie, Margaret and Mary.  She died due to a respiratory problem and/or pneumonia, Croup (i.e. laryngotracheobronchitis), at the age of 7 in February 1849 in Ilkley.  She was buried on May 3rd, 1749.2
