William Brantley Surrency

William Brantley was born on October 29th, 1851 in Tattnall Co. GA.¹   William Brantley's father was Samuel D. Surrency and his mother was Elizabeth Kennedy.  His maternal grandparents were Edward Kennedy and Cynthia Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Burrell Demere, James Jasper, Jacob Franklin, John Allen, Louisa, Josephine America and Sophronia Ann Florida.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He had five half-brothers and ten half-sisters, named Robert C., Allen Powell, Samuel D., Henry Jackson, Hampton West, Penelope, Cornelius, Nancy, Charlotte, Sarah, Elizabeth, Caroline Matilda, Martha, Clementine and Emiline.¹
