Hampton West Surrency

Hampton West was born on December 16th, 1839.¹   Hampton West's father was Samuel D. Surrency and his mother was Elizabeth Copeland. He had four brothers and ten sisters, named Robert C., Allen Powell, Samuel D., Henry Jackson, Penelope, Cornelius, Nancy, Charlotte, Sarah, Elizabeth, Caroline Matilda, Martha, Clementine and Emiline.  He was the youngest of the fifteen children. He had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Burrell Demere, William Brantley, James Jasper, Jacob Franklin, John Allen, Louisa, Josephine America and Sophronia Ann Florida.¹
