John Allen Surrency

John Allen was born on February 7th, 1864 in Tattnall Co. GA.¹   John Allen's father was Samuel D. Surrency and his mother was Elizabeth Kennedy.  His maternal grandparents were Edward Kennedy and Cynthia Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Burrell Demere, William Brantley, James Jasper, Jacob Franklin, Louisa, Josephine America and Sophronia Ann Florida.  He was the youngest of the eight children. He had five half-brothers and ten half-sisters, named Robert C., Allen Powell, Samuel D., Henry Jackson, Hampton West, Penelope, Cornelius, Nancy, Charlotte, Sarah, Elizabeth, Caroline Matilda, Martha, Clementine and Emiline.  He died at the age of 6 on October 3rd, 1870 in Tattnall Co. GA.¹
