Charlotte Surrency

Charlotte was born on April 16th, 1821.¹   Charlotte's father was Samuel D. Surrency and her mother was Elizabeth Copeland. She had five brothers and nine sisters, named Robert C., Allen Powell, Samuel D., Henry Jackson, Hampton West, Penelope, Cornelius, Nancy, Sarah, Elizabeth, Caroline Matilda, Martha, Clementine and Emiline.  She was the fifth oldest of the fifteen children. She had five half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Burrell Demere, William Brantley, James Jasper, Jacob Franklin, John Allen, Louisa, Josephine America and Sophronia Ann Florida.¹
