Burrell Demere Surrency

Burrell Demere was born on October 27th, 1849 in Tattnall Co. GA.¹   Burrell Demere's father was Samuel D. Surrency and his mother was Elizabeth Kennedy.  His maternal grandparents were Edward Kennedy and Cynthia Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William Brantley, James Jasper, Jacob Franklin, John Allen, Louisa, Josephine America and Sophronia Ann Florida.  He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had five half-brothers and ten half-sisters, named Robert C., Allen Powell, Samuel D., Henry Jackson, Hampton West, Penelope, Cornelius, Nancy, Charlotte, Sarah, Elizabeth, Caroline Matilda, Martha, Clementine and Emiline.  He died at the age of 16 on August 29th, 1866.¹
