Edmund Plantagenet of Langley Duke of York 
Edmund was born on June 5th, 1341 in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. Edmund's father was Edward III Plantagenet King of England and his mother was Phillipa de Hainault. His paternal grandparents were Edward II of Caernarvon King of England and Isabella de France; his maternal grandparents were Guillaume III le Bon Ct de Hainault & Holland and Jeanne de Valois. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Edward the Black Prince, Lionel, John of Gaunt, Thomas, William, Thomas of Woodstock, William, Isabella, Mary, Margaret, Joan (Joanna) and Blanche. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Sir John, Nicholas de Lytleton, Jane and Joan. He died at the age of 61 on August 1st, 1402 in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire.-
