Edward II of Caernarvon was born on April 25th, 1284 in Carnarvon Castle, Carnarvon, Wales.  Edward II of Caernarvon's father was Edward I Longshanks King of England and his mother was Eleanora de Castile Cts de Ponthieu.  His paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantagenet King of England and Eleanor Berenger de Provence; his maternal grandparents were St. Ferdinand III King of Castile & LeUn and Johanna de Dammartin Cts de Ponthieu. He had three brothers and twelve sisters, named John, Henry, Alfonso Plantagenet, Eleanor, Joan, Julian (Katherine), Joan of Acre Plantagenet, Margaret, Berengaria, Elizabeth, Beatrice, Blanche, Mary, Alice and Isabella. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named John de Botetourt, Thomas de Brotherton, Edmund Plantagenet of Woodstock and Eleanor.  He died at the age of 43 on September 21st, 1327 in Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire, England.

‌Edward II of Caernarvon and Isabella were married in a religious ceremony in Boulogne, France.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Edward III Plantagenet, John of Eltham Plantagenet, Eleanor and Joanna.
