Maud was born in 1122 in <Of,Leicester,Leicestershire,England>.1   Maud's father was King Henry I (Beaucleric, Fine Scholar) De Normandy Of England and her mother was Isabel De Beaumont.  Her paternal grandparents were King William I (The Couqueror) De Normandy Of England and Matilda De Flanders; her maternal grandparents were Earl Robert I De Beaumont Of Leicester and Lady Isabelle Capet Of Vermandois. She had a brother and a sister, named Reginald and Isabelle.  She was the youngest of the three children. She had eleven half-brothers and thirteen half-sisters, named Richard, Fulk, Atheling, Richard, Henry, Robert, William, Gilbert, Fitzhenry, Robert, Strong Bow, Juliana, Elizabeth, Euphamia, Matilda, Elizabeth Joan, Eustacis, Sibylla Elizabeth, Emma, Gundrada, Rohese, Constance Maud, Matilda and Alice.
